Meet our Team
Evan & Colleen Strauss
Owners, General Contractor & Office Manager
Evan has been in the building industry for over 23 years and got his start in carpentry as an apprentice. Under the direction of two amazing, local contractors, he had a hand building some of the finest homes in the Gunnison Valley. In 2015, after a year of adventure in Alaska (Evan doing commercial construction and Colleen teaching elementary school), Evan and his wife Colleen, decided to move their family back home and founded Wild River Builders. Colleen learned all things bookkeeping and office management and really likes playing with numbers.
Evan’s a passionate archery hunter and Colleen enjoys gardening. In their spare time, they can be found camping, skiing, and floating rivers with their boys.
Levi
Lead Carpenter
Levi joined our team 6 years ago and has come up through the ranks to a leadership position. He brings many great things to the table including detailed custom carpentry, the ability to manage day-to-day operations, and a great attitude. Levi enjoys hunting, fishing, and rafting throughout Gunnison and the Western Slope.
